Steven Skrtic's Mythology Project - Laocoon

Last Updated 19 February 2004

Side: Trojan

Laocoon was a Priest of Poseidon. He and his 2 sons were choked to death by 2 serpents sent by Poseidon. Laocoon also warned that the Trojan Horse had Greeks in it by saying this famous saying “Beware of Greeks bearing gifts!” Aeneas said that Laocoon died because Laocoon struck the Trojan Horse with his spear.
