Steven Skrtic's Mythology Project - Achilles

Last Updated 19 February 2004

Side: Greeks

Achilles was the greatest Greek hero of the Trojan War. When he was just a baby, his mother Thetis dipped him in the River Styx and he became immortal, except where his mother held him at his heel. Paris shot him in his weak spot with an poisoned arrow made by Apollo and the poison killed Achilles. He killed the greater part of the Trojan princes and most of their heroes from other countries.
