Helen was the direct cause of the Trojan War. She was said to be the most beautiful woman of her time. She betrayed her husband Menelaus and went with Paris to Troy. After Troy had fallen, Menelaus took her back but she still had not gained his full trust.  She was originally put under a spell by Aphrodite.  Some people say that Helen was actually transported to Egypt and that is where Menelaus met up with her and there was a "clone" of Helen in Troy because the gods wanted Troy to fall.  The other version is that she was in Troy the whole time.
