Steven Skrtic's Mythology Project - Ajax the Greater

Last Updated 19 February 2004

Side: Greeks

Ajax The Greater was a son of Telamon, King of Salamis, and a great hero of the Trojan War. He was nicknamed “Bulwark of the Achaeans” by Homer. He committed suicide when he didn’t get the armor of Achilles because the whole city of Troy feared Odysseus' cunning mind, and only the troops feared Ajax the Greater. He had a half brother named Teucer.
