Steven Skrtic's Mythology Project - Ajax the Lesser

Last Updated 19 February 2004

Side: Greeks

Ajax the Lesser was a Chieftain of Lorcis. He fought in the Trojan War. He plundered the temple of Athena and was drowned by Poseidon who was ordered by Athena to shipwreck him. He boasted to Poseidon, “The Sea shall not drown me!” Then Poseidon split the mountain he was holding onto in half and the sea drowned him.
