Photo Album: 2000 California Vacation

During 2000 February, we visited several sites on a weeklong vacation to California. Here are some of the places we visited.

			• Disneyland

Our main visit to California was to visit Disneyland. We spent three days there and had a great time. Disneyland was cozy and not as overwhelming as DisneyWorld, and we were able to see any attraction more than once (or twice, even). Here are our pictures from Disneyland.

			• Legoland

Since Steven and Suzy are into building Lego projects, we visited Legoland in Carlsbad. It was a neat place and the kids had a great time. We were especially impressed with the Lego creations, including reproductions of New York City and Washington, D.C. Here are our pictures from Legoland.

• Hollywood

• San Diego
Zoo

We toured Hollywood and spent a couple of days in San Diego where we visited the San Diego Zoo while there. In Hollywood, Dennis was on a quest to find the Walk of Fame star for the Three Stooges (on Vine Street) and walked up and down Hollywood Avenue to check out the other stars, as well as the Chinese Theater. We also took a touristy bus tour of Hollywood and Beverly Hills, and the stars' homes. We were at the zoo just a few weeks after the first public glimpse of the new baby panda (we had to be really quiet in the panda area so as not to bother the pandas). 			• Universal Studios Hollywood

Though not as big and with as many attractions as its Florida cousin, Universal Studios Hollywood was also a place we visited. Here are our pictures from Universal Studios Hollywood.
